This Privacy Policy explains how Levi’s List (“Levi’s List,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, and shares information when you use our mobile applications and related services (the “Service”). By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
Information we collect
Account information
When you create an account we collect your email address and the display name you choose. Authentication is handled by Google Firebase Authentication; we do not store your password.
Profile information
Information you add to your profile, such as your display name, a profile color or photo, a short bio, and an optional home location. You control whether your profile is public or limited to friends.
Location information
With your permission, we use your device’s location to show nearby places, generate place suggestions, and center the map. You can grant or revoke location access at any time in your device settings; the Service remains usable with location turned off, with reduced functionality.
Content you create
The content you add to the Service, including the places you vouch for, your quick takes, photos you upload, lists you build, agrees and reactions, and the friend connections you make.
Usage and device information
Basic technical information needed to operate and secure the Service, such as app version, device type, and log data associated with your requests.
How we use information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service.
- To show you places, recommendations, and activity from people you follow.
- To sync your data across your devices.
- To authenticate you and keep your account secure.
- To respond to your support requests and communicate with you about the Service.
How information is shared
- With other users. Content you create is shared according to your privacy settings — for example, with your friends, or publicly if your profile is public. Your display name and profile details may be visible to other users you interact with.
- With service providers. We use Google Firebase and Google Cloud Platform to host the Service, authenticate users, and store data. These providers process information on our behalf under their own terms.
- For legal reasons. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and the Service.
We do not sell your personal information.
Data retention
We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account at any time, after which we delete or de-identify your personal information, except where we are required to retain it for legal or security purposes.
Your choices and rights
- Edit your profile and privacy settings in the app.
- Control location access through your device settings.
- Delete your content or your entire account.
- Contact us to request access to or deletion of your personal information.
Children’s privacy
The Service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above, and significant changes may be communicated in the app.
